Room is spacious and well-equipped. I enjoyed the onsen, especially the outdoor area. Great to unwind after a long day. The complimentary beer after the bath is a nice touch, and free ramen at 9:30 PM was a good surprise. Staff are attentive and manage the onsen service well. There was a sewerage smell in the bathroom , a bit off-putting. Parking situation can be tricky during busy times, and the lighting in the room felt a bit dim. A worthwhile stay despite a few issues.

Comfortable bed, quiet room, room small but well designed, good en-suite shower, lovely onsen, one of the baths open air, helpful pleasant staff, some of whom spoke a little English, good value breakfast with extensive range of self-service dishes, good toiletries, hairdryer, slippers, lounging pyjamas supplied. Very convenient location, short walks to castle & lively arcade with shops & restaurants, short tram ride to train station, bus centre opposite hotel had excellent information desk, we were able to get a through bus & ferry ticket to Shimabara from where we got a bus to Unzen. Would stay there again.

spotless & brand-new rooms with tv and 3 big suitcases, as for instance.

I could hear everything from neighboring rooms. The parking situation was an absolute nightmare, with limited space and narrow access. The hotel's eco plan meant no daily room cleaning without a fee, which I found frustrating.

Nice hotel, quite close from the castle, just in front of the bus station.
No wifi on the rooms, just on the reception, also three computers are available for the guests.

Good standard hotel, enjoyed our stay here. The location was incredible, not very far from Former Hosokawa Gyobutei. Western cuisine was served in the attached restaurant.
Though the breakfast itself was excellent, it should be was n't included in the rate.

I love the style of the rooms, fresh, user friendly with the perfect amenities. The roof top spa and massage service can be counted on no matter which Dormy Inn one stays at. The wide choices and excellent morning coffee makes every Dormy Inn stay a very satisfactory experience.
I found nothing to dislike. I love every well attended to detail. Thanks so much!

A soothing hot spring getaway
Dormy Inn Kumamoto was great with its serene onsen experience, perfect location near the tram and shopping street. The complimentary ramen in the evening was a good surprise that really hit the spot after a long day of exploring.
The room was a bit smaller than I had anticipated, feeling slightly cramped. There was also a minor issue with soundproofing, as I could hear some activity from neighboring rooms. While it didn't significantly detract from my experience, it was noteworthy.

The hotel is nice, and has great amenities like free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a massage room. On my first stay, the staff helped return forgotten belongings, which I really appreciated. I recommend trying the onsen and enjoying the evening ramen. I'm coming back for a business trip.
